Her friends call her the “Queen of Comps” and for good reason too. Michelle Wright’s short stories have won several awards including The Age and Alan Marshall Short Story Prizes. They have been published in many Australian and international anthologies and journals.
She has been awarded a Writers Victoria Templeberg Fellowship, a Faber Academy scholarship and was a 2015 Laughing Waters Artist-in-Residence. Her short story collection, Fine, was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Award for an Unpublished Manuscript and was published by Allen and Unwin in June, 2016. Her debut novel will be published in 2017.
